Creatherm Helps Customers Save Money While Protecting the Environment

Indianapolis, IN – Creatherm, LLC announced today that it is helping companies maximize savings in energy and operating costs while earning the ENERGY STAR label for buildings - the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) national symbol for superior energy performance.

As a provider of energy-efficient foam building products, Creatherm is improving the energy performance of its clients through upgrades and implementing proven energy management strategies. Clients can strive to earn the ENERGY STAR label for their buildings and positively impact their operating expenses and shareholder value.

“Investments in improving energy performance can achieve competitive rates of return while cutting energy costs by 30 percent,” said Jean Lupinacci, branch chief, EPA.

Creatherm has committed to helping its customers achieve superior standards of energy performance in their buildings. This will help these customers reap financial rewards and position themselves as environmentally responsible citizens.

EPA estimates that by 2010, the savings from energy-efficient investments will reduce the annual greenhouse gas emissions in the United States by 2.4 million tons – the equivalent of the pollution produced by 1.7 million cars – and save taxpayers more than $750 million per year.

BuildBlock Building Systems, LLC Signs As First National Distributor For Creatherm Foam Building Products

Oklahoma City, OK – May 2008 – CreathermTM is pleased to announce that BuildBlock Building Systems will distribute the manufacturer’s foam building products throughout the United States using their established distributor network and online platform. BuildBlock Building Systems, LLC, will distribute the S45 Radiant Floor Panel ideal for installing PEX hydronic tubing with considerable time and labor savings.

The S45 Floor Panel is 2’ x 4’ x 2.8” thick and features a staggered snap-tight grid for optimal tubing spacing. On-center points exist every three inches. The S45 Floor Panel can support the installation of 1/2”, 5/8” or 3/4” PEX Tubing. This panel does not support installing tubing at 45 degree angles but offers greater “R” Value due to its thickness, making the product ideal for colder climates or new construction.

Creatherm TM radiant floor panels are now manufactured out of BASF Styropor® EPS. Styropor®, an expandable polystyrene (EPS) was invented by BASF in 1952 and today is a classic among the raw materials employed for cost-effective construction, as well as efficient and reliable packaging. The most important properties of Styropor® EPS include: excellent thermal insulation capacity, high compressive strength, outstanding impact absorption, low weight, and flexible design capabilities. The foam panels are also quiet, resistant to insects and mold, and virtually allergen free.

Headquarted in Whitestown, Ind., a northwest suburb of Indianapolis, Creatherm TM offers expanded polystyrene foam products to the building industry. Building on a design alliance with Createc Corporation, manufacturers of ICF panels, Creatherm’s Radiant Floor Panels were their first product to reach market.

Creatherm TM is also a proud member of the Radiant Panel Association.

Production Begins On New Creatherm T45 Radiant Floor Panel

Whitestown, IN – The third panel from Creatherm TM is ready for market and combines benefits of its first two radiant floor panels into one product.

The T45 Floor Panel is a one-inch thinner version of the S45 Floor Panel. The lower height profile makes the snap-tight grid ideal for over-pour or retro fit applications where a thicker panel cannot always be used.

The T45 Floor Panel is 2’ x 4’ x 1.8” thick and features a staggered snap-tight grid for optimal tubing spacing.

On-center points exist every three inches. The T45 Floor Panel can support the installation of 1/2”, 5/8” or 3/4” PEX Tubing.

The new panel will be manufactured at existing Creatherm production facilities as well as Aptco, LLC on the West Coast. Customers now have the ability to split orders between the S45 and T45 by bundle quantity.

All Creatherm TM radiant floor panels are manufactured out of BASF Styropor® EPS.
